There were more pics but not enough room to post! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I am coming to Tampa for Halloween...can't wait to see the family! This will be a not so busy week for me so I am looking forward to it!

GATOR GROWL

Well here's so a relaxing weekend! started off thursday night...James came up early and surprised me and we had some pizza while we watched USF get there butts kicked...so sad. Then, friday night was Gator Growl, which is the student pep rally for the homecoming weekend. It was really fun...live music by a band called OAR. Dana Carvey, the comedian, also performed. It was a very good show! And we got to see all the senior football players :)

Saturday was the homecoming game...we went tailgating and the game was a close one...thank god we pulled off the win...and my mom made me the cutest gator cup...she posted a picture on her blog. I cooked pork chops and homemade mac n cheese last night for dinner and then some peach cobbler (mom's recipe) for desert...yum yum. Did a little homework this morning and then went to Chili's for dinner with James before he left for Tampa.

This coming up weekend I get to go to Washington D.C. for the club that I am in and we will be taking a bus up there and staying for three days! I am super excited...can you imagine...a bus full of gator students going to see the Capital! Saturday I will have free time to tour and go sight seeing! Nice mini vacation for me! Being involved sure payed off! Well, its been a very nice and relaxing weekend...not to mention the weather is beauiful! I actually got to wear my boots! yay!

Well, that's all for now! Have a good week everybody!

Oh and here ya go mom... Loved the cup!

Busy Weekend

Well, it all started thursday...I knew this weekend was going to be good because I ended up getting an A on my management exam that I studied three days for! I hitched a ride with James' roommate's girlfriend, who also goes to UF, and we went to see our men. My wonderful boyfriend cooked me an amazing dinner and had it ready for me when I arrived to tampa...

We had chicken with a wine sauce, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and wine...
he did an amazing job :)
Well, that was thursday night and he even packed left overs for my dad, which he loved! Friday me and mom went out for a girl's day. We picked up my new pink glasses and went to lunch at Olive Garden...yum yum...our mother daughter tradition. Friday night Dad played at Winner's and I went to a party at James' for his roommates 21st birthday. It was fun! James and I even got our names on the "Wall of Fame" for winning 5 or more consecutive games of beer pong. What an accomplishment for us lol.
We went to Hooter's beforhand for dinner...
And the theme of the party was Breast Cancer Awareness, so the boys wore pink and we got pink cups to drink out of...it was a fun night! Saturday, James and I had a wedding to go to for his co-worker. It was a spanish wedding and it was held at the Bride's house. The wedding was eventful to say the least. Besides having water issues, the bride and groom not being able to take showers, and some septic tank problems, it was all in all a very nice little wedding.

And of course I wanted a picture of us under the pretty heart...

And of course James found the food lol...

They also smoked a hog...

I will refrain from posting the pictures of the truck pumping the septic tank and the hose in the yard. You know I have to get footage of everything :) After the wedding, James took me out for pizza and we ended up at his dad's house to watch what remained of the gator game. Tebow, despite his concussion, pulled off another win! Today I got to relax with some much needed family time. A very nice sunday. Back to writing opening statements for my law class and back to gainesville in the morning. Have a good week everybody!

JCPENNEY and friends...

So my wonderful mother calls me tuesday to inform me that JCPenney was going to offer five $1000 scholarships to those who competed. Those who entered had to write a two page paper on one part of the store that needed improvement and how they were going to implement a plan to make it better. Well, my roommate all weekend had been asking me about ideas on how to make shopping better and I was spilling my ideas, oblivious to the scholarship. After putting two and two together, I realized this scholarship my mom told me about was the same one I had been helping my roommate with all weekend! So after coming up with this random idea in about two seconds, I wrote this paper with a crazy idea I came up with involving a 3G network and an inventory moniter in every department (I gave all of my plausible ideas to my roommate, which I couldn't use). Needless to say, I was one of the five winners, and so was my roommate! Out of 1500 applicants! What are the odds!

So to present us the scholarship, they held a very nice dinner for the winners at the Muesuem of Natural History and the Butterfly Musuem. It was a $1oo dinner...steak, pasta, etc. Very nice. Not to mention I sat with the the top man of Macy's and a guy who is head of Mall at Milinea. He gave me a free valet pass the next time I go because we talked about how great the mall was. Sorry this post was so long..just thought I would share all the interesting events of the night! We also won our intermurral softball game tonight! UNDEFEATED! Here are some pics...
