THE FAMILY

Christmas :)

So my Christmas was absolutely amazing...except for the fact that every other student in the world had a month of Christmas Vacation and I had two weeks. This sucks! Last weekend I worked at Winner's and all week I have hung with the family and helped everybody get ready for Christmas. Yesterday I woke up and did Christmas with the family, then I headed to James' house to visit with his family. His parents gave me a Yankee candle (my favorite)! At his parents house we exchanged small gifts and waited to do the rest at my house. So we headed back to Wesley Chapel to eat dinner with mom and dad and watch movies. He did so good for me for Christmas! A beautiful Victoria's Secret Pink Gator Sweatsuit, some little things, and a black Coach Purse with the matching wallet. Mom got me an awesome little camera and dad hooked me up with a nail gift certificate...speaking of nails....I got pink and white fake nails....i just wanted to try it...I love them :) Prolly won't keep filling them but it was a nice change for the holidays. This week, I have a Christmas Party to go to for James' work, and my friend is having a New Year's Party Thursday. So my week is full of fun before its back to Gainesville to crack the books. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

BAD blogger BAD.

I have been seriously slacking. no excuses! Except for the fact that I am sooooo ready for this semester to be over. Next semester is going to be even harder. Lord, Help me! lol. Well, today was prodective...I wrote my law final after sleeping half the day away. My roommate decided to have a party until four in the morning Friday night and last night I had a five hour tutoring session. Talk about brain fried. My phone was on silent this morning and my alarm clock was off. Needless to say Mom and the boyfriend were about to send the troops for me becuase I was MIA...in bed. lol.

Anywho, I don't have class or anything this week...except two exams on Thursday. yuck!! Thursday James is having lasik surgery so I will be taking care of the poor boy Friday. I cannot wait for Christmas and to be home with nothing to do! yay! I miss my family! LOVE YOU GUYS!

Six Months

Well, I can't believe how fast time flies! The boys are hunting, Mom is playing with kitties and I was in Gainesville. My friend was supposed to come into town and go to the game with me, but she bailed so instead James came up to hang out with me. Friday night he took me to Bonefish Grill because it was our six month anniversary. That place is amazing. I've heard such good things about the restaurant from everybody and finally got to try it out myself. It was so yummy. Saturday we went to the Gator game and it was so hot outside. We won, by a lot, of course :)

For our six months, James got me a beautiful diamond necklace from Kay's and it is a piece from the Love's Embrace Collection. I made him a collage. He is such a good boyfriend! I'll have to make up for that when it comes time for Christmas presents! The semester is almost over and everything is going to due. I cannot wait for Thanksgiving and then Christmas! Here are some pics from the weekend...

FINALLY feeling better

Well, its Wednesday night and all of the assignments for the week are done! Time to enjoy the weekend! Today was such a productive day for me! I was at Walmart at 9am, which for me is unheard of! I gave my presentation today and got caught up on all of my lectures. I love being able to watch lectures online for a few of my classes! You can pause during lectures to take notes or you can speed up the Professors voice so it takes about 3/4 the time to watch it. It is nice to be able to rewind and watch it as many times as I want to, you would be surprised at how much you miss while taking notes. But anywho, I got tickets to Saturday's game and I am super excited to go. Friday James and I will have been together for six months. Crazy! Time flies when you are having fun. After this weekend, I leave for Tampa on Tuesday since all of my Professors were kind enough to cancel classes Wednesday. I get to hang out with Mom and drink coffee in the morning just like old times! Then we are grocery shopping/cooking for Thanksgiving Wednesday and Thursday. Then it's off to shop Friday! I love when the boys go hunting because Mom and I get to have girl time! But then again, we have girl time even when the boys are around. I was braiding her hair the other night in my big ole bed. Love ya, mom!

Dad invited us to go hunting but I am sure he likes his boy time too. He just informed me today that he is playing New Years Eve in channel side with the Rolling Stones Trilogy Band. Hopefully they can sneak me in :) Love you, Dad! You get to see me for 6 days! Woohoo! I hope you can handle all of the loving harrassment! haha.

I went and visited my Grandma monday morning, AKA Nina, and she had a surprise for me. She knitted me the cutest blue and orange blanket. I will post pics soon! That is probably the one person I can talk to for hours on end and never run out of things to say. Love you, Nina!

Well, it's off to bed for me! Good night everybody!

Supposed to be doing homework right now...

But I guess I have time to post...lol. I tell you what...I am so ready for this semester to be over and for Christmas to be here! It's so close! My mouth is all healed up and I am officially over the wisdom teeth. However, the toe is a different story. Hopefully this week the UF infimary will remove my stitches...let's pray! I feel like all the professors have one goal...to make everything due at the same time to make students have mental break-downs from stress! They must plan this and have meetings to strategize. Ugh! All I have left are finals and hopefully I can pull off straight A's. It's close to impossible but if God sends me a miracle for Christmas, it might happen!

Mom and I threw together dinner tonight. She made the chicken and I made the homemade MacNCheese. Soon we are going to put together a menu for Thanksgiving. Yummy! Last night we went and saw Dad play at Winner's and it was good to see all the poeple my mom works with everyday....a very nice group!

Well, Thanksgiving is in two weeks and I am excited about girl weekend! The boys will be going hunting so mom and I can bond! Hopefully, someone will have a crop (hint hint). I need to catch up on some scrapbooking...so many cute Gator Pics! Well its late and everyone is sleeping! Back to research!

Thank god for my wonderful mommy! She has taken such good care of me! From head to toe, literally! She made sure my foot was well this week and tryin to get to classes and all, and then she has been waiting on my little butt all weekend...I don't think I got outta bed once yesterday! James sent me the prettiest flowers! Tuesday, while Mom was taking me to classes, I got a call from a flower shop in Gainesville saying that they had an arrangement for me :) So beautiful! My boyfriend is the best! I had two bouquets of flowers! One from the man and one from Mom! James came to Gainesville to bring me home Thursday night and we had the two vases of flowers seatbelted in!

What a rough weekend! Friday I went to have my wisdom teeth out...However, I'm walking out of the room and there is stuff smeared all over my lip...I was like what the hell is this?! The doctor followed by saying that apparently I clinched down on my lip with my teeth and wouldn't open my mouth while I was asleep...So now I have a huge gash on my lip. Besides the fact that I look like a squirrel, today is definately a better day! Yesterday was not so nice! James came and sat with me last night while mom went out to watch Dad play with the band. The good thing is, I might have lost a couple of pounds this weekend from lack of food! haha justttt kidding!

Today is relaxing. I have to get all better so I can drive with my injured foot back to Gainesville! Then, it's back home next weekend for more doctors appointments! Can't wait for the Holidays and all this drama to be over with! That's all for now :) LOVE YOU MOM & DAD!

Monday, Monday

Welp! I had a great weekend! Thursday night me and the roomies threw a keg party and made a pretty profit on charging people red cups to drink out of...I was a hippie, and everyone was all dressed up in their costumes! Super cute! Friday I drove in and went to my consulation with the oral surgeon with mom, then we ran some errands. Saturday was Halloween and I went to James' parents house to pass out candy...the kids were adorable!! Then we went to Winner's to see Dad play...Yesterday was going really well until I somehow cut my foot on a dog food can...thank god Dad was home to stop the bleeding...lord knows I woulda passed out if I tried. So when Mom got home from the grocery store she took me to the hospital where it took four hours for me to get seen and they stitched me up and sent me on my way!

So now, Mom has to take me back to gainesville so I can go to class...since I am unable to drive...What a weekend!

Well everybody, have a wonderful week!

GATOR GROWL

Well here's so a relaxing weekend! started off thursday night...James came up early and surprised me and we had some pizza while we watched USF get there butts kicked...so sad. Then, friday night was Gator Growl, which is the student pep rally for the homecoming weekend. It was really fun...live music by a band called OAR. Dana Carvey, the comedian, also performed. It was a very good show! And we got to see all the senior football players :)

Saturday was the homecoming game...we went tailgating and the game was a close one...thank god we pulled off the win...and my mom made me the cutest gator cup...she posted a picture on her blog. I cooked pork chops and homemade mac n cheese last night for dinner and then some peach cobbler (mom's recipe) for desert...yum yum. Did a little homework this morning and then went to Chili's for dinner with James before he left for Tampa.

This coming up weekend I get to go to Washington D.C. for the club that I am in and we will be taking a bus up there and staying for three days! I am super excited...can you imagine...a bus full of gator students going to see the Capital! Saturday I will have free time to tour and go sight seeing! Nice mini vacation for me! Being involved sure payed off! Well, its been a very nice and relaxing weekend...not to mention the weather is beauiful! I actually got to wear my boots! yay!

Well, that's all for now! Have a good week everybody!

Busy Weekend

Well, it all started thursday...I knew this weekend was going to be good because I ended up getting an A on my management exam that I studied three days for! I hitched a ride with James' roommate's girlfriend, who also goes to UF, and we went to see our men. My wonderful boyfriend cooked me an amazing dinner and had it ready for me when I arrived to tampa...

We had chicken with a wine sauce, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and wine...
he did an amazing job :)
Well, that was thursday night and he even packed left overs for my dad, which he loved! Friday me and mom went out for a girl's day. We picked up my new pink glasses and went to lunch at Olive Garden...yum yum...our mother daughter tradition. Friday night Dad played at Winner's and I went to a party at James' for his roommates 21st birthday. It was fun! James and I even got our names on the "Wall of Fame" for winning 5 or more consecutive games of beer pong. What an accomplishment for us lol.
We went to Hooter's beforhand for dinner...
And the theme of the party was Breast Cancer Awareness, so the boys wore pink and we got pink cups to drink out of...it was a fun night! Saturday, James and I had a wedding to go to for his co-worker. It was a spanish wedding and it was held at the Bride's house. The wedding was eventful to say the least. Besides having water issues, the bride and groom not being able to take showers, and some septic tank problems, it was all in all a very nice little wedding.
The Bride and Groom and Family...

The Bride and Groom after smearing the cake on each other's faces...

And of course I wanted a picture of us under the pretty heart...

And of course James found the food lol...

They also smoked a hog...

I will refrain from posting the pictures of the truck pumping the septic tank and the hose in the yard. You know I have to get footage of everything :) After the wedding, James took me out for pizza and we ended up at his dad's house to watch what remained of the gator game. Tebow, despite his concussion, pulled off another win! Today I got to relax with some much needed family time. A very nice sunday. Back to writing opening statements for my law class and back to gainesville in the morning. Have a good week everybody!

JCPENNEY and friends...

So my wonderful mother calls me tuesday to inform me that JCPenney was going to offer five $1000 scholarships to those who competed. Those who entered had to write a two page paper on one part of the store that needed improvement and how they were going to implement a plan to make it better. Well, my roommate all weekend had been asking me about ideas on how to make shopping better and I was spilling my ideas, oblivious to the scholarship. After putting two and two together, I realized this scholarship my mom told me about was the same one I had been helping my roommate with all weekend! So after coming up with this random idea in about two seconds, I wrote this paper with a crazy idea I came up with involving a 3G network and an inventory moniter in every department (I gave all of my plausible ideas to my roommate, which I couldn't use). Needless to say, I was one of the five winners, and so was my roommate! Out of 1500 applicants! What are the odds!

So to present us the scholarship, they held a very nice dinner for the winners at the Muesuem of Natural History and the Butterfly Musuem. It was a $1oo dinner...steak, pasta, etc. Very nice. Not to mention I sat with the the top man of Macy's and a guy who is head of Mall at Milinea. He gave me a free valet pass the next time I go because we talked about how great the mall was. Sorry this post was so long..just thought I would share all the interesting events of the night! We also won our intermurral softball game tonight! UNDEFEATED! Here are some pics...

Sunday Funday

Well, I just got back from being at Ginnie Springs all day with my Business Gators Association. I love this club. You gotta love an organization who gives you points just for going to social events :) I fit right in! lol...It was such a nice relaxing day on the water...we rented tubes and tied them all together with rope and floated down the river as one big swarm of college kids...we had a floating cooler full of beer and grilled out after the river...

Heading out...
